RAPPiNG OR SiNGiNG ?

okay, now a days rappers feel like they are obligated to rap and sing on a track. the same ones who feel the need to do so, are the ones who can't hit a note. not mentioning any names (COUGHS) 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Lil Wayne, i'm just saying..........i feel no one should complain when drake does it, because he is willingly capable to do both. drake is beyond talented. when he hears a beat, he starts rhyming, and he either sings, raps or does both. WOW ! i really don't think many other artist can do such. you wanna read what he really said about rapping and singing, well check it out : “The balance of singing and rapping has been blurred ever since I did So Far Gone,” he said of his breakthrough mixtape. “I mean, I don’t really have a formula for that. I don’t say, like, ‘OK, I can only sing this hook or I want to rap this.’ I just really hear a beat, and it’s like, ‘If I can write to it on a hip-hop level, if I can pen some raps to it, then that will work.’ And then maybe after I do that, I’ll get in the booth and sing a little part of the verse.

“I like to do that,” he continued. “I like to incorporate singing into my verses. And then I feel like it allows people a break from just constant rapping, rapping, rapping, you know? I think it’s great to incorporate melodies into the songs that I write. And yeah, my goal is just really to make a song that after I listen to it, I’ll just be like, ‘Man, people are going to know the words to that.’ That’s the best thing. I think I’m doing it right, ’cause when I go to the shows, people know the words to the songs, and that’s good.”

by the way drake fans, the talk around the industry is the video for Digital Girl is coming out very soon. fans also want him to make a video to Successful, but he's not 100% sure about such.. we shall see. i can't wait to see more of him, and hear more of him.

iS HE WORTH 4 MiLLiON ?

is drizzy drake rogers really worth 4 million? when i read the article and seen the comments behind them, all i could do is laugh. i can only imagine what drake will do when he sees them. honestly i don't actually know if drake is really worth 4 million, but honestly an artist can be worth what ever a person is willing to pay them. i guess time will tell, and all my faith is riding on drake. i think he can be successful in the long run. and people are saying 50 cent was giving 1 million by em and his cd was a success. for one drake ain't 50 cent so everyone just stop comparing them, and where the hell is 50 cent at right now ? i'll give you a minute...........

BET AWARDS PART 2 .

okay. so bet is still not impressed and happy about the whole young money situation. as soon as bet had an opportunity to clear their name of such horrible incidents, they did. yes the performance done by young money used vulgar language, random hood rats, stool sitting, forgetting verses and sexual content, but come on bet you have played worse. i understand where they were coming from kinda though because the show was suppose to be dedicated to Michael Jackson, but everything was last minute so no one can really complain about young money's performance. no one complained when beyonce and jay-z went up on stage like their shit don't stink and everything was about them. if Michael Jackson had of not passed away, and young money went on stage and performed "every girl", "best i ever had" and "always strapped", no one would have bugged one bit. so i think hypocrites are stressing their opinions too much. and i guess drake saying sorry for what happened really did not matter to bet because they were only looking out for their asses when they released their statement. and now when they play the re-runs of the award show, bet has made sure that they don't include young money's performance. and see that's exactly why i don't, well stopped watching bet, because they blow everything out of proportion and they sometimes can be bias. i could see if the show from jump was dedicated to Michael, but no one knew he died till 3 days before the show. so um bet you all are officially WHACK ! Deborah Lee/co owner of bet or how ever you spell it, SUCK A NUT ! and to be honest that was the worst award show ever, and they did a poor job at remembering Michael. R.I.P. baby boy.

MR. iNDEPENDENT ?!

yes. drake has finally signed. everyone thinks drake at the moment is signed under lil wayne and now he is his little bitch. one flaw in that theory, LIL WAYNE AIN'T RUNNING SHIT ! in a recent interview with COMPLEX BLOG he stated "Nah…I definitely want to clear this up, I didn’t sign to Universal. I’m actually signed to… a lot of people were telling me, “Oh, you should do it independent.” I’m actually 100% independent. I signed to Cortez Bryant and G. Roberson, my managers, so I signed a joint venture between Aspire Music Group, which is them, and Young Money. So the only part that Universal plays is P&D [pressing and distribution]. I’m not a Universal artist. I’m signed to myself." read and weep haters.

BET AWARDS .

lol. the infamous sitting on the stool while performing. this recent act was committed by the hottest new artist out right now by the name of drake. for all of the dumb asses who said he was whack for sitting down the whole time, um well there was a reason. he ended up playing basketball a few days before the award show, and ended up injuring his acl. for all the slow asses, that means he fucked up his leg. anyways, he didn't want to perform that day, and look stupid, and fuck up something else, but he took one for his fans. and yes by the way the performance was weak and not what he expected, and he even stated so. " That, actually—to be honest—was a terrible idea that I’ll never do to myself again. [Laughs] But I was being pressed from different areas to perform, and I think what really happened at the BET Awards is with the passing of Mike, the climate really changed, as far as the award show goes. I don’t think it called for us to perform “Every Girl” and “Always Strapped,” and I think it was an award show filled with tributes and music and these genuine heartfelt speeches. And to sort of climax out of a very tongue-in-cheek point, and then people misconstruing Wayne’s daughters and her friends coming out on stage…Yeah, it was just timed very poorly and it definitely wasn’t planned like that, but with that being said, it is what is. I believe in Wayne and myself and it’s nothing we can’t bounce back from. To anyone who was offended, my personal apologies, it wasn’t intended to offend anybody". so that should clear any questions any ignorant person has. his performance was not suppose to look like that, but shit the past is the past so get over yourselves. drake keep up the good work.

THE BEST HE EVER HAD ?

okay.. so new artist drake has a buzz as big as jay-z did when he first came out, and probably even bigger. he dropped his video today for his smashing #3 billboard hit "best i ever had". for this smashing hit he decided to give his good friend and recording artist kanye west a chance to show off his directing skills. after watching the video "best i ever had" i came to the conclusion that kanye west has little experience in directing. i have been a fan of drake since 2001, and honestly after watching it the first time, i was not impressed one bit. the only way for a person to really understand why big breasted women are playing basketball, then you should read his explanation. He said and i quote, "Basically we decided, as opposed to taking ourselves super serious, we just wanted to have some fun with it. Myself, being a young man, a young single man at that, I kind of wanted to be real about the way I function with women at this current point in my life. Which is, I don’t have one woman that I call my girl. There’s different girls in my life that play different roles and I see at different times, but collectively they kind of make up the roster of happiness for me [Laughs]." there are two sides of opinions on this video. You either like it or you hate it. I don't hate the video, but it was not what i expected at all, but what ever it is his career not mine. it makes sense for him not to take a more serious side because shit he ain't got a bitch right now so everyone should chill. the video is dope i guess for what it is. funny thing is, for all those who talk shit about how whack he is and how whack that video is, remember this, he has yet to drop a CD and "best i ever had" is only from a mix tape so it's a little bit okay for his video to be "whack". GET A LIFE!
